About the role

Elmery is a Finnish startup offering globally a patented technology for critical metal recovery. Their solution reduces costs and environmental impact, driving technological development and the green transition with world’s leading companies. In this role as a Laboratory Technician you get to prepare samples and operate the ICP-OES/MS and AAS. You will be working in a small team in the laboratory at Otaniemi Espoo.

Work tasks

• Sample preparation from the processed solutions
• Operating the ICP-OES/MS and AAS
• Creating suitable protocols based on the studied solutions
• Define and modify new/existing measurements’ protocols for a successful and reliable elemental analysis
• Verification and validation of the existing and new methods
• Cleaning, organizing and maintenance activities ensure the smoothness of operations in the laboratories
• Sorting the ICP-OES/MS and/or AAS data
• Additional responsibilities may be added based on your interests and performance

We are looking for

• Suitable education or on-going studies in laboratory field, e.g. Bachelor of Science degree or laboratory technician
• Practical experience with laboratory work
• Hands-on experience with elemental analysis of inorganic solutions using ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and AAS methodologies
• Understanding of safety regulations in laboratory setting
• Fluent English spoken and written skills
