About the role
This is an exciting time to join the well established, friendly team who support 12 individuals with complex needs, who live in a residential care home in Brislington, Bristol. The team are reviewing the support they provide the individuals to help them achieve even greater independence and quality of life. You’ll have a passion for learning, fresh ideas and will share our values to help achieve a significant and positive impact on the people you’ll support.
Working in our friendly teams, you’ll enable the people you support to increase their independence and live life in the way they choose. You’ll provide person-centred support in all aspects of everyday life, including supporting with everyday tasks, personal care and medication needs. You’ll work closely with the manager, and have a real say in how the support develops.
Building professional relationships with the people we support, you’ll enable them to enjoy a wide range of activities at home and in the community. There’s lots of variety, to find out more about the role visit our website.
About you
You’re considerate, committed, resilient and respect people’s differences. Empathetic, you adapt your approach to individuals’ needs, have good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. You can build professional relationships and have a ‘can-do’ attitude. We value the personal skills and interests you can bring to the role and lives of people we support. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support including evenings and weekends.
You have the option of working additional hours (£10.02 - £10.24 p/h) or sleep-ins at £60 extra per sleep-in, in a range of services.
Successful applicants for this role will require an enhanced DBS check.
