Sandvik Coromant and Business Unit Solid Round Tools – our fastest growing area in the company – is now looking for a Global Product & Digital Application Specialist within metal cutting. Welcome to a team of ten competent and helpful colleagues acting in a developing and innovative environment!
In this position, you identify, develop and evaluate new product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions. You translate research discoveries into usable and marketable products. To lead, plan and track all phases of the product life cycle, from inception through introduction into the marketplace, is an important part of your job as well as providing your expertise and support in testing. You also sell, promote, train and collect feedback and success cases from our customers and find ways to replicate them and use them in training material and promote our products. You constantly strive to exceed expectations and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvements!
The location for this position is flexible. International travel is part of your job, for approximately 50%.
We’re looking for a commercially oriented person who enjoys being out on the field. You have an engineering background combined with technical knowledge in metal cutting – you know applications and how to use different machines within metal cutting. We believe that you’ve previously worked with training, and you need to be good at creating training content to train people but most importantly, to train the trainers. As a person, you’re structured with a business focus and easily populate data and insights. Acting in a truly global environment calls for excellent communication skills in English.
