The Data and AI team democratizes data, analytics, AI, and automation for all Sandvik Coromant teams through self-services, data literacy, and data products. We deliver fit-for-purpose solutions, organized in a federated way to ensure predictability and high pace. Your mission
As an AI Engineer within our AI Center of Enablement you will apply your solid experience in Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation to enable our organization on AI.
Included in your responsibility:
- Support the Product Manager in translating business requirements into AI and ML solutions.
- Support the AI Product Manager, Product Owners and Analysts in articulating their requirements in the right level of granularity to guarantee best implementation results.
- Co-responsibility for the implementation of models and algorithms leveraging our ML, Large Language Model and Retrieval-Augmented Generation architecture.
- Enable and educate the Data Analysts on our AI self-services.
- Provide thought leadership by researching best practices, conducting experiments and collaborating with industry experts.
- Translating results from the AI Laboratory into AI-Product requirements which can be productionized by the Engineering and Platform team.
The location for this position is Stockholm, Sweden.
Background and experience
- Several years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Data Analysis.
- Experience in agile product team organization.
- An academic degree in computer science, statistics or operations research or related technical discipline.
- Experience with Python or similar language.
- Experience working with large data sets, simulation/optimization and distributed computing tools (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Arena, etc.).
- Experience in the productization of analytical solutions for large and heterogenous number of users.
- Data Domain knowledge in at least one of the areas: Sales, Finance, R&D, Manufacturing.
