At the Faculty of Librarianship, Information, Education and IT, education and research are conducted in the fields of Library and Information Science, Educational Work, and Business and IT. The Faculty offers doctoral programs in Library and Information Science and is actively working towards establishing doctoral programs in Educational Work and Business and IT as well. The Faculty provides undergraduate and graduate level education, training professionals such as librarians, preschool teachers, primary and secondary school teachers, system architects, and web editors.
As a Senior Lecturer with us, you will conduct research and teach in the field of Library and Information Science, as well as perform related administrative tasks. Teaching occurs at all levels, from undergraduate to doctoral studies, and involves delivering lectures, seminars and supervision, as well as being responsible for examinations and thesis supervision. By focusing on our educational programs in information science and information design, you will have the opportunity to influence and support students' development in a meaningful way. We view information design as the interface where well-structured information meets communication, through an understanding of users' information practices.
You will also participate in and contribute to the development of our research environment. By engaging in existing research groups and projects, and initiating new collaborations and projects, you will play a key role in promoting new knowledge and innovation in the field. Collaborations both within academia and with the surrounding community will be an integral part of your role.

Since a large part of the teaching is conducted in Swedish, the candidate is expected to learn Swedish within two years from the start of employment.
For the position, the following are required:
A general eligibility requirement for permanent employment as a teacher is completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 10 weeks of full-time studies, or equivalent competence. An employee who lacks higher education pedagogical training can complete the training within the first two years of employment.
