Production Operatives
Uttoxeter (Home of Tyrrells premium hand-cooked vegetable crisps)
Rotating days/nights = 4 on/4 off (2 days (6am-6pm) and 2 nights (6pm-6am))
As a Production Operator you will work as part of a team to produce Tyrrells Vegetable Crisp products safely and efficiently whilst maintaining stringent quality levels and minimising raw material and consumable waste levels.
As a team member you will have the flexibility to work in any production area namely; Raw material intake, Frying and Packing. The role of Production Team Member will include the following activities:
Operation of machinery including product weighing and slicing , fryers and associated equipment, flavouring, bagging, packaging, wrapping and palletising equipment
Adherence to production orders, monitoring work in progress to ensure product is produced to agreed specification
Quality inspection activity both at the pre and post frying stage by hand and taste tests
Machinery clean down procedures and changeover operations
Machinery start up and daily operation procedures including minor fault fixing
Packing, stacking and pallet configuration and wrapping
Continuous quality inspection including metal detection and other QC testing activity
Hygiene activity involving complete clean down of the production facility
Packaging labelling activity
Record keeping and document control
