Factory Manager
Uttoxeter (Home of Tyrrell's premium hand-cooked vegetable crisps)
The Factory Manager has responsibility for Operations, including Health & Safety, Quality, Manufacturing (Production Control and Materials Control), Logistics, Ingredients and Packaging Handling, Despatch and Engineering. This role works with cross-functional teams (for example Sales and Marketing) to develop and deliver the operational plans. Coupled with partnering support functions (HSE, Technical, Human Resources and Finance) to drive and deliver local site and people plans.
The Factory Manager in Uttoxeter reports to the Tyrrells Head of Manufacturing Operations based at the sister site in Leominster and will play an integral role on the KP Snacks Operations Leadership Team.
As Factory Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:
Delivery of an efficient lean factory driving savings ahead of inflation whilst maximising cash delivery
Continually challenging self and team to “make tomorrow better than today” through effective change management
To continually review total cost per ton of all site products, driving new initiatives which deliver year on year total cost per ton reduction
To continually review site overhead costs, implementing new ways of working which facilitate overhead cost reduction
Accountable for creating a high performing culture aligned to the Company values and behaviours
Empowerment of Leadership team to develop self sufficient teams in order to enhance contribution to the site through their people
Promote and share best practice both internally & externally
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with others, be curious, use coaching techniques to develop and grow people in a continuous improvement environment.
