Shift: This role operates a 3 shift rotating Sun-Fri rota (06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00/22:00-06:00)
As a First Line Manager (FLM), reporting to the Production Manager, you will be accountable for supporting the LST in implementing the IWS ways of working day & night delivering against clearly defined outputs.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Taking personal responsibility for Health, Safety and environment OOH
Responsibility for the site out of hours, 7 days a week, ensuring all our colleagues are safe & products are compliant
Coaching the teams on IWS Ways of working such as problem solving & Daily Management Systems
Supporting the Line Structure Teams by leading & managing colleagues out of hours to achieve delivery of the plan
Collaborating closely with your Line Lead colleagues, ensuring that all colleagues are supported across 24 hours, 7 days a week
Role modelling servant leadership & coaching the teams to build capability & create ownership , supporting the delivery of our Compelling Business Need
Providing guidance & support & acting as the ‘go to’ person for any escalation out of hours, working closely with the maintenance team

Key skills, knowledge and experience:
Strong people management skills
Experience dealing with absence, disciplinary, grievance…
Proven track record in delivering against production and manufacturing KPIs/SLAs
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and IWS/ Six Sigma is desirable
Current work experience in the Food industry would be desirable
From a lean manufacturing background also desirable
Experience at a supervisory/leadership level
Flexibility for shift working patterns and extended cover shifts
Strong communication and motivational skills
Customer focused and able to meet internal/external requirements
