Shifts: Mon to Fri, 7.30am to 3.30pm
As a hygiene team member, you'll undertake various essential hygiene activities and routines to ensure that hygiene standards are met in accordance with site, company, legal, BRC, customer requirements and industry best practice.
Some of your key responsibilities and activities will include:
Undertake all duties as specified by the Hygiene Manager& Supervisor(s)
Take an active role in ensuring compliance with all aspects of company Food Safety, Health & Safety, COSHH and GMP to eliminate accidents and non-conformances
Help deliver departmental KPI’s
Daily floor and Drain cleaning
Waste collections around site and using the correct disposal through waste routes (General, Plastic and animal feed)
Emptying of bins, both throughout production and outside production
Job rotation from cleaning amenities areas (offices, corridors, toilets etc) to factory cleaning
Record completion; recording cleaning tasks as appropriate and following a schedule
Daily auditing though our BOS system (behavioural observation surveys)
Ad-hoc cleaning activities where required
Attending daily meetings
Continuous improvement ideas
Undertake all hygiene activities as directed by the Hygiene Manager& Supervisor(s)
Follow work instructions and Safe Working Procedures to ensure all equipment and hygiene routines are completed to specification and in a safe and timely manner
Work safely with a variety of cleaning chemicals ensuring adherence to COSHH at all times
Report any non-conformances to the Hygiene Manager& Supervisor(s)
Adhere to instructions relating to PPE and safety equipment for hygiene activity
Play your part in the development of a first class Health & Safety culture, actively participating in meetings, driving improvements, reporting hazards, near misses and accidents promptly and taking appropriate measures to prevent incidents from occurring
