Spond is poised on the verge of major expansion and is looking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious CEO to lead the way. With our primary mission making the coordination and participation in sports and other community activities easier and more accessible for all. By offering an intuitive and comprehensive platform, Spond aims to reduce the administrative burdens that often discourage volunteer work and participation.
Spond has one million monetizing users in Norway – in practical terms; every person in Norway who touches sports (parents, children, grandparents,coaches, team leaders, club managers etc) is a Spond user. We’ve already expanded with a local team in the UK, where we are building a strong position with currently 1 million users. In addition we have 1 million users in many markets, people who have found Spond’s app and find it the most useful for their purposes.
We are now looking to profitably build on a clear leadership position in Norway, build a much stronger foothold in the UK while exploring especially the US market over the next few years.
Therefore, we are looking for a CEO who can, together with the leadership team, turn this strategy into reality. Bring your leadership experience in international growth strategy within software to the table, and if you’re familiar with the B2C market, you might be just the person we've been waiting for. About the role
The role’s main responsibility is, in collaboration with the leadership team, to realize Spond's ambitious international growth strategy. Some of your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and continuously revising an established international expansion strategy
- Leading and further developing the leadership team
- Working in close collaboration with the company's board
- Ensuring the operational execution of the company's strategy
- Building local teams that can navigate in the cultural and business landscape in new markets
- Monitoring and strengthening the company's financial health through effective capital management and investments

The ideal candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Familiarity and practical leadership experience within a software B2C-market
- Track record of successful internationalization and monetization
- Experience leading a global start-up in a scaling stage
- Experience establishing and working with individual and team goals that are aligned with the company mission
- Ability to motivate and develop a leadership team with the right capabilities at the right time
- Experience creating a culture that supports equality & inclusion while maintaining a positive outlook in difficult periods
