You will partner your managers, providing advice and coaching them through various employee relation issues in line with company policies, procedures and current employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing resource capability and matching recruitment plans to business strategy – adding value for managers through maximizing opportunities that come with recruitment
- Ensure a positive, professional experience for candidates throughout recruitment and onboarding processes
- Reviewing, developing and continuously identifying and implementing new initiatives to contribute to strong employee communications
- Ensure managers have templates for appraisals & have either training or guidance on carrying them out; review appraisals and ensure development needs are addressed
- Change projects (department restructure, TUPE etc.) – planning with manager, supporting consultation etc.
- Pro-active manager liaison on Management Development programmes and employee development plans.
- Coach and mentor junior members of the HR team
- Point of escalation and support for team members and ability to resolve escalated issues
- Coaching & supporting managers in positive people-management practices
- Providing up-to-the minute expert advice on HR-related matters
- Employee Reps in place (or arrange elections as appropriate)
- HR ownership of formal case management (disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, maternity, flexible working etc.)
- Ensuring a supportive, professional experience for employees leaving the organisation.
- Developing and implementing HR processes which will impact positively on business performance
- Monitoring quality of HR service provision and take effective action when improvements are required

Qualifications/Experience:
- MCIPD or equivalent educational achievement (Level 7) plus experience (Desirable)
- Up-to-date on UK employment legislation
- Knowledge of current thinking in HR issues and trends and evidence of CPD
- Relevant HR experience gained in large organisation(s) with multiple stakeholders (Essential)
- Experience of delivering an advisory service e.g. supporting managers with people issues (Essential)
- Experience of participating in and delivering on continuous improvement (Essential)
- Extensive experience of working with managers to create positive business outcomes
- HR experience in manufacturing (Desirable)
