Mechanical Apprentice – 3-year programme – Huntingdon – £21,164 in year one, increasing each year

An apprenticeship like no other, at the forefront of bringing clean and affordable energy to the UK.

You’ll join a three-year programme, with a wide range of learning opportunities between on site training, college attendance and external training courses.

You’ll join the National Gas Transmission Ops team at one of our operational sites around the country. Working with a larger team you’ll maintain pipelines, terminals and compressors to ensure the safe, secure and reliable operation of the gas network. The gas network that keeps our homes warm and our lights on.

At the end of your three-year programme, you’ll receive your level 3 qualification in Maintenance and Operations Engineering, alongside a BTEC in Mechanical Engineering. Then you’ll take your first operational job at National Gas and start your career.

You’ll need to pass at least 3 GCSEs in Maths, English and Science, at level 4 or above or equivalent. You’ll also need to be able to display good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

The group assessment centres will take place on 4th and 5th July 2023, with the role starting in September.
