About the role
As part of the Offshore GIS Team you support all of the company’s offshore development, construction and operational projects with a full range of technical analysis and design services. The GIS team within the Offshore function supports the projects with a variety of GIS related services in the fields of data management, data processing, spatial analysis, visualization and the provision of interactive web-based GIS applications.
As a GIS Engineer you will support a variety of offshore wind farm projects throughout all life-cycle stages in relation to all GIS specific requests and tasks with your expertise. This role has a focus on supporting our Nordic project pipeline (Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland). You are responsible for all GIS-related services in alignment with the specific project requirements and needs (e.g. data management, data processing, analysis, visualization etc.).
Furthermore, you will take an active part in the further continuous development and improvement of our enterprise GIS services, system and workflows. The role will also require occasional travel within the EU and attendance at industry conferences. This is an exciting role within RWE and the successful applicant will be a key member of a team with ambitious growth targets.

About you that we want to hire
We think you have several years of experience in using GIS for processing, analysing and visualisation of spatial data in a professional environment incl. frequent use of model builder and/or python ideally in the marine / renewable sectors. You have a good knowledge in the use and configuration of enterprise GIS systems incl. web application development / configuration (esp. ESRI products). We also believe you have experience with SDE based data management procedures, Customer focused team worker with hands-on mentality and Creative problem solving skills and an agile mindset.
