Functional area: Operations & Maintenance
The Digital Operations Manager will coordinate with Operations, IT/OT, and Engineering to manage the development and integration of digital tools used to manage the business on behalf of RWE Renewables Onshore Europe & Australia (OPEA) Operations.
Your profile:
- Develops, with and for Operations, a digital strategy including all digital assets used to manage the OPEA Operations. These assets include tools for which OPEA Operations is the business owner and those that impact the daily business.
- Continuously aligns the digital strategy and associated projects and products with all stakeholders.
- Works closely with local Operations team, IT/OT, Engineering, Construction and other stakeholders to continuously identify digital business requirements and improvement opportunities in line with the Ops digital strategy.
- Secures budget to improve digital tools based on a value principle.
- Develops a program to achieve the digital strategy, and regularly reviews the integrity, security, reliability, and compliance of the various systems within the program.
- Coordinates multiple digital projects as Product Owner or informed stakeholder, and regularly reports on the status of projects and products to Operations Management in order to meet the requirements of the digital strategy. Continuously identifies and manages risks to the projects and products against potential value and resources available.
- Ensures the portfolio of available and upcoming digital tools and resources is well known, understood, and coordinated across all OPEA Operations.
- Acts as a point of contact for third parties and vendors of digital tools used by Operations in order to align requirements and capabilities.
- Develop stakeholder links across the entire portfolio.
- Coordinates onboarding of new assets, continuously reviews and improves the process in collaboration with IT/OT.
- Supports, oversees and drives implementation and continuous improvement of select processes in operations, e.g., REMIT.
Your profile:
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other STEM area.
- Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships across RWE and the wider Renewables industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of key stakeholders on a variety of technical issues.
- Significant experience with digital development processes
- Experience with different Ops digital tools, e.g., SCADA, analysis and reporting tools.
- Significant Project Management and Product Owner experience and knowledge.
- Experience with agile methods (SCRUM).
- Overall 5 or more years of experience with development of digital tools, project management or product ownership.
- Great intrinsic motivation to improve, find new solutions, overcome obstacles and reach results.
- Great perseverance to deal with setbacks and resistance.
- Great planning and organising skills, including prioritisation of key activities.
- Very good understanding of the RWE Renewables business and how Operations personnel, its systems and processes work together.
- Very good English skills.
- Language skills in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish or other languages are an asset.
