Your future plans 

Join our Platform team and help to improve the delivery performance of the RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) developer teams! We design and implement various platform products (e.g. re-usable cloud infrastructure patterns as code) and educate teams in best practices (e.g. Shift Left Security). With a strong DevOps mindset we strive for automation to reduce toil.

• Help to shape the future platform offered to our developers by actively engaging in the development teams
• Evangelize the latest DevOps practises in the company
• Develop platform products for internal infrastructure
• Reduce cognitive workloads for the development squads
• Designing, developing, and building the cloud infrastructure architecture
• Delivering products as a self-service and empowering and educating the teams
• Providing value-added services on existing tooling and fostering standardization
• Collaborate with the development teams to improve service reliability, scalability, and tooling
• Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack, software, hardware, cloud, and networking
• To ensure that any work applied to your teams is shared across peers to build up best practice

Your powerful skills 

• Expertise in AWS Services
• Containers and orchestration frameworks: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS
• Experience in Infrastructure and Platform as a Service environments
• Re-usable Infrastructure as Code modules with Terraform 
• DevOps practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using Azure DevOps
• Pro-actively keeping up-to-date with industry trends and innovations
• Good communication skills both written and verbal

Advantageous, but not a must

• AWS Certifications to professional level, preferable
• Academic degree in mathematics, computer science, natural science or comparable degree
• Skills in Cloud security, Cloud network topics,  expertise monitoring & logging frameworks
