These improvements shall consider individual renewables projects as well as the whole portfolio of renewables projects.
Your tasks
- Ideation and evaluation of Technical Optimization measures for Renewables Projects
- Actively manage the collection of technical optimization ideas.
- Identify and assess technical optimization opportunities regarding effort and gain, i.e. the potential to support the OPEA business targets (e.g. increasing competitiveness by reducing LCOE and increasing throughput).
- Support other colleague(s) with similar tasks.
- Optimization tasks
- Conceptual – Developing, improving, aligning and promoting a holistic technical optimization concept that combines cost & value (LCOE and LROE), combines project level and portfolio aspects, combines Dev, Con and Ops aspects. Furthermore, the concept shall consider the optimization potential in terms of effort and value (avoid overengineering). This concept shall support growth targets as well as consider constraints (e.g. limited resources).
- Therewith, providing recommendations to the OPEA engineering community regarding the adequate scope, effort (incl. resources) and prioritization of optimization on portfolio and on project level.
- Ensure that optimization concept is aligned with strategy and business needs.
- Facilitate the application of the optimization concept for renewable energy projects and portfolios
- Ensure that all relevant stakeholders can grow competencies required to execute the optimization concept, e.g. clarifying interfaces and required technical skills such as matching state of the art industry practices.
