For the Digital Transformation Office, we are looking for a Data Analyst (m/f/t) who will play a significant role in advancing digitalisation within RWE Generation SE. As Data Analyst (m/f/t) you will support various digitalisation projects in close collaboration with business and IT/OT specialists to unlock new value potential. You will make recommendations on the methods and ways in which RWE Generation SE obtains and analyses data to improve quality and the efficiency of data systems. You will work across the business units (Biomass, Gas, Hydro / Storage, Hydrogen and Management & Support Functions) and support the organisation in understanding data behind the business processes and transfer data into information.

• Extracting and interpreting data and analysing data quality (finding issues, suggesting solutions, formulating rules)
• Report the results back to the relevant members of the business
• Generate insights from data to solve business problems
• Act as interface between business (analyst) and data engineering
• Define and further develop data collection and analysis systems and processes
• Work alongside teams within the business to establish business needs
• Developing and managing information to support decision making as well as providing consulting and analytic services to business and leadership

Your powerful skills

• University degree (Bachelor or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or comparable
• Strong foundation in data modelling and analytics as well as knowledge of data models, database architectures and data mining techniques
• Understanding of data behind a business model (or specific business domains)
• Knowledge of tools and technologies such as relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB or Cassandra), data mining tools, programming (XML, R or Python – statistical programming), specific business tools (PI Asset Framework, SEEQ, SPC)
• Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and visualisation skills and an agile (and collaborative) mindset
• Business fluent in English 

Advantageous, but not a must

• Business fluent in German or Dutch
