As an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Executive Committee Data Analyst Associate within the Governance and Performance team you will develop, maintain and optimize our digital EH&S tools, dashboards, community page(s), interfaces, etc. You will also oversee the execution of digital tool workflows, perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis, data visualization, etc. to produce recurring EH&S reports. The position also involves supporting the organization and maintenance of our digital EH&S documentation, records, etc. in accordance with internal requirements and industry best practice.
Responsibilities:
- You will be the EH&S team’s administrator and point of contact for the development, maintenance and optimization of EH&S related software, digital tools, dashboards and interfaces.
- You will perform EH&S data management, analysis and reporting for the team.
- You will independently manage, process and publish EH&S data reports, statistics, analysis etc. for the team in alignment with other RWE AG.
- You will support the organization and maintenance of digital EH&S documentation, records, etc. including the EH&S Management System.
- You will facilitate the completion of the technology portion of the annual EH&S Management Review amongst various internal customers and colleagues.
- Provide regulatory and external EH&S statistic reporting (OSHA, American Clean Power, etc.)
- Support users with EH&S digital tool training and resolve relevant system related issues.
- Support the organization in annual waste data collection processes.
- Process and distribute EH&S Alerts and Lessons Learned, and align with our international Colleagues according to our internal process.
- Manage POs for EH&S team in SAP to issue payment to external vendors.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in either Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, IT, or a closely related field of study
- Candidates with quality working experience, relevant advanced degrees, skills, knowledge and experience may qualify for a Senior (Sr.) Data Analyst Associate title.
- Strong aptitudes and/or skills in Data Science, Data Analysis, Statistics, IT, and Digital Tools & Platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Tableau, UL 360, SAP, MSDS Online, Safety Culture, mobile applications, etc.).
- Strong interest to solve IT related issues, to find out ‘how it works’ and transfer that knowledge to others.
- Data science knowledge and affinity to work with digital tools/platforms and data sets to produce detailed data analysis, visualization, etc. and transfer this knowledge to others.
- Mathematical/Statistical knowledge and affinity to work with numbers/statistics regularly.
- Success and facilitation/coordination experience in either data science, statistics, business administration or IT.
- Some familiarity with, and understanding of management systems and energy industry best practices including ANSI Z10, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, etc.
- Some familiarity with, and understating of the EH&S related legal environment in the energy industry including OSHA, ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA, NCCCO, ASME, EPA, DOT, etc.
- Strong self-initiative and self-confidence to find solutions and to solve problems independently.
- Possess reliable and systematic mindset and work ethic.
- Resilient in terms of being able to centrally manage differing stakeholder expectations.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven mindset and work ethic.
- Strong in quickly and accurately drafting reports and documentation in English.
- Business fluent in English (further languages are an advantage but not expected).
- Strong coordinating / organization skills with internal and customer orientation.
