RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) is looking for a Performance Controller Gas & LNG to join our Controlling community - especially our Controlling team which is responsible for all controlling tasks in the Gas and LNG-business area.
Our team consists of members from different educational fields and various nationalities, working together in an inspiring and flexible atmosphere. We contribute to coping with the challenges of the current Gas- and LNG crisis with expertise and high motivation.

• Work in the team Performance Controlling Gas & LNG with a focus on Financial Reporting (planning, analyses, actuals, performance) and valuations on economics / profitability
• Prepare analysis on economic trends and make corresponding adjustments to plans during the period
• Be involved in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting activities, enhancement of Performance and Management Reporting
• Analyse P&L effects and components based on market information and portfolio-related risk profiles
• Conceptually deal with the planning and steering of liquidity within RWEST and contribute to the Group wide steering model
• P&L reconciliation of Risk and Accounting and support the Gas & LNG Front Office regarding finance related questions
• Be involved in analysis and planning of liquidity as well as working capital
• Provide economic valuations and analysis as pre-deal assessments for products and transactions and in the context of projects
• Facilitate and coordinate the approval process and take care of the involvement of all required departments and approval boards
• Elaborate answers on ad hoc questions of the senior management and contribute to the compilation of approval documents (incl. documents for the executive boards)

Your powerful skills 

• A university degree in Economics, Mathematics, Natural Science or a comparable discipline ideally with a focus on Controlling, Finance or Accounting
• First experience in one of the mentioned areas and understanding of the economics of the energy business
• Excellent analytical skills combined with a strong commercial understanding
• Highly motivated and proactive with quick comprehension and the ability to communicate in a precise and understandable manner
• Distinct application-oriented experience with MS Office Products and are capable of structuring and interpreting large data sets
• Bring in a good sense of humor and resilience into the team
• Distinct communication skills, very good team player and excellent in English

Advantageous, but not a must

• Knowledge of IAS / HGB is a plus
• Ideally communication skills in German
