Your role
As Head of Commercial Analysis (CA) Europe and APAC you provide all necessary revenue analysis to inform investment and M&A decisions for Offshore, Onshore- and PV projects of a all sizes (including applicable battery and hydrogen solutions). The CA Europe and APAC team has more than 20 employees based in nine different countries covering 18 European and 5 markets within the Asian-Pacific region. Furthermore, auction and portfolio analyses as well as detailed short- and long-term commercial recommendations are part of our daily job
Your tasks
- Provide quantitative and qualitative support for decision processes (investment approval, route to market decisions, bid price setting, M&A projects, etc.) with the goal to reach the highest commercial value
- Leading the preparation and analysis of all relevant commercial inputs for renewable energy business models with special focus on long-term power & certificate prices, captured prices, ancillary service cost and revenues, purchase of external market studies (if needed)
- Collect and prepare the best possible RES information for the long-term model within RWE including LCoE alignment, factual constraints, exogenous / endogenous RES build-out
- Provide short- and long-term market analysis to quantify impacts of e.g. market distortions / regulatory changes on future investment decisions including recommendations how to react. That includes also support to bid strategies and monitoring of auction participations
- Work closely together with internal stakeholders (e.g. Strategy, Regulation, Valuation, Development, fundamental modelling team of Supply & Trading, Risk Controlling, Engineering etc.) as well as external stakeholders such as Consultants
Your profile
- Degree / PhD in an analytical / numerical subject, preferably (Energy-)Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Physics or Mathematics
- At least 10 years’ experience in the energy sector, including experience with commercialization of offshore, onshore as well as PV projects
- Detailed knowledge about the most relevant drivers of Renewable energies (ancillary services, captured prices, subsidy / auction schemes, regulatory framework, technical details etc.) for relevant RWE markets
- Experience in the field of fundamental market modelling and / or programming skills (e.g. Python, VBA) and a high affinity for analytical and conceptual work
- Languages: English mandatory, additional languages an advantage
