At RWE Clean Energy, as a Manager, Investments Controlling within the Controlling Development and Construction Investments Americas team you will be responsible for financial performance controlling, planning & reporting, for the Onshore Wind, Solar and Energy Storage businesses. Working as a strategic partner and trusted advisor with the business, Controlling evaluates improvement measures, actively gives recommendations / appropriate challenge, and business decision support.
Responsibilities:
- Financial planning & analysis: Support timely, complete, accurate, high-quality reporting / planning / forecasting with business stakeholders
- Ensure consistency across input providers and assist with developing streamlined processes for consolidating forecasting and reporting
- Excel at structuring ways to breakdown complex business and financial drivers into easily understandable components
- Effectively prepare financial presentations for senior leadership
- Lead and manage those within the team, including analysts
- Project management: Define initiatives and lead cross-functional projects within the finance area and across the business groups
- Business support: Serve as strategic partner to all business areas by supporting / challenging / measuring critical initiatives within the business groups; provide timely and insightful analysis that supports informed decision-making
- Coordination and teamwork: As a primary contact within the Controlling Americas (FP&A) team, coordinate overarching topics and related financial impacts across the business
- Continuous process improvement: Support proactive pursuit of best practices, processes, standardization and tools that drive gains in efficiency, automation, and quality
- Ongoing initiatives: Support company-wide top priorities and goals, special projects, and integration activities following recent organization structure change, increase in growth targets and integration activities following recent merger
- People and communication: Support growth and development of the team and how we work together locally and globally
- Support of controlling processes and tools for new projects, including the establishment of projects, the establishment of companies involving accounting and IT support, if necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Accounting, Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial or Management Consulting, or other Finance-related fields; Renewable energy and/or management experience is a plus, but not required
- Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business (required); Advanced degree is a plus, but not required
- Ability to travel: <10%
- Knowledge of English language (fluent) required, German is a plus
- Systems and tools: SAP (moderate to advanced), Excel (moderate to advanced), PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, other system/tools experience is a plus
- Desired traits: Analytical and proactive problem-solver, cross-functional collaboration, continuous, process improvement, ability to effectively communicate and interact with Senior Management, experience working in a global organization is a plus, integration and change management experience is a plus, general accounting and IFRS knowledge a plus
