We are looking for an HSE Advisor for our Trident Offshore wind farm to be based in Hamburg with an expectation to travel regularly to the island of Heligoland regularly or on Heligoland. The site:
Trident Offshore wind farms consists of the three windfarms Amrumbank West, Kaskasi and Nordsee Ost. The sites are located around 30-35 km north of the island of Heligoland and 37 km west of the North Frisian island of Amrum, inside the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Trident has in total of 940 MW capacity provided from 166 wind turbines in different brands, sizes and ages. It is maintained and operated from the island of Heligoland.
Your future plans:
- The HSE Advisor is responsible for providing independent, expert and professional advice and guidance to the site management on all health, safety and environmental issues, actively participate in and promoting a high standard of health, safety and environmental awareness and culture at the operational offshore wind farm “Trident Offshore” which consists of the three windfarms Amrumbank West, Kaskasi and Nordsee Ost.
- Maintenance of HSE risk registers in relation to allocated offshore operations site designated. Ensuring German legal HSE requirements are considered and compliance is evaluated on a regular basis.
- Produce, review and update health safety and environment related documentation required by the site and for Continental European sites as directed by Line Management.
- Proactively support and advise line/project management in meeting their HSE responsibility (incl. but not limited to risk assessments, operational instructions, procedures) with technical, organizational and procedural as well as compliance advice.
- Engage and develop relationships with operational teams to eliminate and reduce risks, develop HSE culture on site and adherence to HSE standards and rules. Deliver on annual goals and targets.
- Conduct regular site visits at Helgoland service base, conduct HSE inspections on- and offshore.
- Prepare and accompany offshore campaigns (e.g. major corrective or annual maintenance campaigns) during port calls or limited times offshore on crew transfer, service operation and jack-up vessels.
- Attend and run meetings, site visits and technology reviews with contractors & clients in relation to offshore operations.
Your profile:
- Degree in Health and Safety related discipline, engineering/safety engineering or similar or technical professional education.
- The ideal candidate will also hold a higher qualification level in an environmental discipline.
- Ideally hold qualification as a HSE professional in accordance with the German legal requirements (“Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit”).
- Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training certification would be desirable.
- Ideally experience as HSE professional, especially in Offshore Wind, energy or oil and gas sectors. Applications from graduates are welcomed.
- Be able to demonstrate a flexible, practical and practical approach to handling operational HSE challenges.
- Self-initiative, reliable, systematic and consistent with a customer orientated approach.
- Mobile, able to work in a time-sensitive setting, team-oriented.
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
- Good health, with general all round fitness to work in an offshore environment with the ability to undertake “AWMF offshore medical” and “G41 Work at Height medical” and work offshore by vessel and helicopter operations is a requirement for the role.
- Driving licence is an advantage.
- The role will be based in Hamburg with an expectation to travel regularly to the island of Heligoland.
- As an alternative the role will be based on Heligoland with on/off rotation.
- Up for the challenge of working in a demanding offshore environment.
