RWE Clean Energy, LLC 

As a Credit Risk Senior Associate, you will be part of the RWE Clean Energy Credit Risk Management Team. You will be responsible for assessing and recommending counterpart credit exposures.

Responsibilities

• Credit Risk Management: responsible for assessing and approving counterparty credit exposures (including payment, performance, and supplier risks). 
• Portfolio Management: Responsible for a portfolio of counterparties based in the Americas (US, Canada, and LATAM) across a broad spectrum of industries, not just energy companies.
• Proactively manage credit risks by taking into account liquidity topics as well.
• Various but related  technologies covered: Onshore and Offshore wind, PV, battery storage, distributed generation, and hydrogen as well as  US trading business for optimization
• Supporting operational business:  negotiate appropriate credit terms for the business being undertaken.  
• Prepare short, succinct credit reports including Risk/Reward decisions

Qualifications

• Ability to provide analysis for corporate and financial institutions from a credit risk, balance sheet, and cash flow perspective.

• Working knowledge of different contracts e.g. ISDA, PPA’s, REC, and the credit terms within those contracts
• University degree or equivalent in business administration, finance or economics
• Excellent self-motivation, independent and reliable working approach
• High level of social competence and ability to handle conflicts
• Business fluent English language skills a must. German language an advantage
• MIn 5-7 years or more in counterparty credit management within the energy, utilities, or banking sectors
