Your future plans
- Lead the implementation of our fleet-wide asset integrity strategy for RWE’s Offshore foundations
- Coordinate and align Operational inspection requirements, writing specifications for inspection and repair works, reviewing Contractors’ risk assessments and method statements for compliance to the specifications
- Deliver specialist engineering knowledge to review and assess the performance of our existing wind turbine foundation structures, including accompanying offshore inspection teams
- Manage or perform the analysis of condition monitoring systems on offshore foundations
- Support the structural engineering activities during Design stages of an offshore wind project, and then continue supporting the project on into fabrication and construction
- Ensure that all lessons learned from our operating fleet are incorporated into future projects
- Represent RWE as a technical expert on ground breaking joint industry and research projects
- Work closely across all interfaces with internal stakeholders, external design houses, certification authorities, and fabrication contractors to produce cost effective and value-added solutions
Essential skill requirements
- Educated to degree level in civil or structural engineering
- Extensive experience in offshore structural engineering
- The drive and motivation to meet time, cost and quality targets
- Demonstrable experience of working effectively in an international business
- Willingness to travel and go offshore
- Good communicator and excellent team player
- Fluent spoken and written English
Desirable skills
- Member of a professional engineering body
- Project management experience in the offshore industry from either design, construction, or operations
- Proven experience supporting renewable construction projects
- Experience in floating offshore wind projects
