We are currently looking for an HR Advisor to work as part of a team that provides comprehensive HR support and advice to employees and managers ensuring best practices, internal processes, and legal obligations are followed.
The Role
The role contains multiple HR activities and processes for the organization to attract, manage, develop, and retain the employees we need to achieve its current and future objectives. You support the organization with HR-related questions and contribute with your knowledge and expertise ranging from individual cases, management support, recruitment, and other operative and strategic HR activities. You’re responsible for offering coaching, advice, and guidance to our managers to actively raise their understanding and expertise in people management and HR issues. You work closely with common HR functions and HR Services to ensure we follow The Sandvik Way. You’re an important player who can manage and evaluate a large amount of information and acknowledge the needs of our organization.

The location for this position is Trondheim, Norway with the opportunity to remote work. Some travel is included in your job.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a degree in HR and a few years of experience from practicing HR in a broad role. It’s beneficial if you have knowledge of labor law issues and are familiar with tools and systems. Proficiency in Workday or a similar HR database system will be an advantage.
Acting locally in a global organization calls for excellent skills in both English and Norwegian.
Your interest in extending your knowledge within HR is key to success in this role. You truly enjoy taking responsibility and with a curious mind, you’re eager to dig deep to understand and solve issues. This, combined with your genuine interest to understand our business and confidence in making decisions to move forward, enables you to develop and question old habits and processes – helping us see things from a greater perspective. Additionally, your networking skills help you feel comfortable working effectively within a matrix organization together with experienced stakeholders.
