About the role and department

In this position, you lead three areas of Group IT – covering Operations, Engineering and Cyber Security. The organization has about 220 employees and an additional 250 consultants as of now. Your mission is to transform the organization into a modern infrastructure and engineering organization with a strong focus on enabling the DevOps teams in the Business Areas to build customer-centric products and services. This includes optimization of driving development of new technical platform functions and ensuring strong capabilities within cyber security.

Your responsibility includes:

• Leading the managers of Operations and Cyber Security,  and leading the engineering function establishing modern platforms.
• Ensuring stable and efficient operations by continuously working with quality and automation.
• Establishing new tech platform capabilities for Cloud, Developer Experience, Integration and Data Platforms.
• Ensuring delivery of Cyber Security capabilities and operations.
• Participating in the Group IT leadership team and the IT management team.
• Supporting in enabling the digital product teams in the BAs.

You report to the Sandvik Group CDO, and you’re preferably based in either Stockholm or Sandviken. Although, with the right profile we can be open to other locations. Some international travel is a natural part of your job.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, IT or other relevant area.
• Senior leader with 5+ years of leading a large IT organization.
• Solid understanding of IT Operations, IT Engineering platforms and Cyber Security.
• Experience from driving efficiency in AI Ops.
• Experience from development of software products and IoT is valuable.
• Understanding and hands on experience from an agile WoW.
• Business process knowledge from the manufacturing industry.
• Understanding and a curiosity of existing, new, and emerging technologies.
• Change management skills – leading through transition and transformation.
• Experienced storyteller.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
