About the job
In this role, you manage our Tooling Systems product portfolio with the aim of ensuring profitable growth, which you do by securing prioritization of work and expediting profitable products and services to the market. Managing a team of product managers and product specialists, you set the strategic agenda for the product portfolio and align it with the overall product category strategy. In collaboration with R&D, Operations, and Sales, you develop new products and enhancements to the portfolio to meet both current and future customer needs. You also manage the entire product lifecycle from inception and introduction to phase out and replacement in the marketplace and ensure that key business metrics are met.
You drive continuous financial results by developing and executing strategies across the portfolio, sharing the vision and strategy throughout our organization with clear near-term plans. Moreover, you create buy-in from the organization by articulating market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and analysis of the competitive landscape. You also establish and implement pricing policies in alignment with group pricing, track progress to the business plan, and facilitate resolution to gaps.
This role requires some travel depending on where you’re located, especially to Bouxwiller, France, as that’s where most of your team currently are based. You report to the Director of Round Tools.
Your profile
We’re looking for a leader with high business acumen and experience in strategic and tactical planning. With a relevant background, you’ve acquired an understanding of metal cutting and its technology, business, and customers. Combined with a good knowledge of product development processes, project models and portfolio management, you’re well-equipped to thrive in this role. Your experience is backed by a university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge gained from a working career. As we act in a global setting you need excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing.
As a person, you’re characterized by your good networking and leadership skills – you collaborate, create engagement, and build relationships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels. With a clear drive, you know your goals and how to get there independently. You encourage innovative ideas and solutions, and your curiosity makes you see things from different perspectives, while always keeping a holistic overview.
