About the job
Together with your team, you’re responsible for designing, developing, and validating PVD thin films for cutting tools – aiming to identify new and effective ways to ensure the right material properties leading to high-performance during machining. With focus on the development of novel PVD coatings, you contribute with your expertise in projects regarding knowledge building and product development. You actively interact with our internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent cooperation. To protect our technology and innovations, you work with and secure our patents enabling us to meet an even more profitable future!
The location of this job is Västberga, Stockholm. Some occasional travel is part of the job.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a master’s in engineering in chemistry, materials science, metallurgy, or applied physics, and we consider a PhD as highly valuable but not mandatory. A good understanding of the properties and processing of thin film coatings is advantageous. Skills in advanced material characterization are strongly appreciated, as well is an interest in, and previous experience of work with R&D centers or universities. As we’re a truly global organization, you need excellent written and verbal skills in English, while knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
