We are looking for a Sales Analyst to work closely with our global sales function to help define key metrics, identify and analyze performance trends in order to solve business deficiencies and come up with solutions. Example work could include analysing sales funnel conversion rates and velocity, decompose business drivers and levers, and investigate factors impacting organisational success, in order to solve business deficiencies and put forward solutions.

You will be responsible for all key sales metrics for the Global sales team and will maintain and generate recurring Key Performance Metrics such as Revenue Attainment, Pipeline coverage, Automation and Key Business Insights.

What you will be doing:

  • Sales Operations Reporting: Excel guru who can take data and execute deep analysis that results in solving business needs and uncovers gaps. Management and timely delivery of reporting requirements across the sales org, and wider remit as required including scoping requirements, scenario modelling, design & build, implementation and communication. whilst ensuring Governance to compliance is maintained
  • Analysis:  Regular analysis on sales performance and impact of specific initiatives. Putting the analysis into PowerPoint and google slides to showcase findings via presentations that are digestible for an audience both in and outside of sales operations. The role encompasses analysis, reporting and support to a Global Sales Organisation and for all aspects of the sales process from Planning, Forecasting, and Pipeline Management. Prepare pipeline and broader sales analysis to help sales leadership make decisions to improve sales productivity and business outcomes
  • Systems & Reporting: Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Excel and other business tools to analyze data and develop insights and form decisions. Introduce automation, wherever possible, to enable automation in the process of data extraction and collection. Produce daily, weekly and monthly performance reports. Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested. Be seen as the subject matter expert for all reporting created within the Sales Org.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to draw conclusions from data and proactively solve problems, present insight and deliver ideas that will drive overall performance of sales org. Providing data insights that underpin our strategy and that are financially feasible by understanding business approach and interpreting into actionable measurements accordingly.
  • Optimization: Finding gaps in current processes that can be optimized to drive business outcomes and sales performance. The role owner will be commercially minded with the ability to understand the commercial imperatives behind their data needs, thorough inquisitive, innovative & out-of-the-box' thinking.
  • Sales Metrics: Evaluation and analysis of quota attainment reports per Sale rep, sub-region & region. Pipeline, Forecast and Upside Analysis (pipeline quality & health).Tracking and analysis of Leading Indicators. Analysis of the pipeline funnel from Lead through to closure. Develop hypotheses about Sales performance, and use data to explore and test them in looking for trends, patterns, outliers, and other insights.

  • The type of person we need:

  • Have proven experience in a Sales Operational and Reporting capacity in regards to sales performance on a large global scale.
  • Are expert level with Excel spreadsheets, with the ability to analyze numbers and reporting and translate them into presentations that tell a story and present solutions.
  • Have experience drawing conclusions from data and putting forward recommendations.
  • Proven experience in a sales operational reporting role previously
  • Possess a strong understanding of a sales pipeline, revenue, opportunities, conversion analysis and associated metrics. 
  • Ability to work independently on projects, complete analysis and put forth recommendations with little supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; deals comfortably with concepts and complexity 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills alongside analytical skill and commercial view.
  • Ability to work well within project/virtual teams, delivering excellent results under pressure.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to establish a high level of credibility in the organisation and act as a trusted advisor
  • Superior problem-solving ability; ability to analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines; Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills; Ability to lead and manage large-scale projects
  • Ability to work independently in some cases in a time zone from your direct manager and other key team members. Strong time management and organisational skills.
