Are you all about finding the best solutions?! We are looking for a Commercial Tonnage Manager to join our journey ahead.
This new role is all about optimizing Stena Line´s total route system, tonnage and ports to enhance efficiency. It also involves developing and managing the tonnage plan, planning for dry-dock relief, and optimizing the service network to align with Stena Line's strategic goals. It requires a blend of strategic planning and analysis, with a clear aim to guide the company towards a sustainable future. The role goes beyond decision-making; it's about shaping the path of the company in the long term.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Drive necessary change and projects to fulfill the Network & Business Development strategy and support Group Management in delivering on the strategy
- Undertake pre-studies and business cases on N&BD behalf or in cooperation with the regional trade management to understand the best sustainable fleet utilization and create forward thinking scenarios within or outside present business areas
- Involved in growth cases and merger and acquisition projects
- Develop the Stena Line Tonnage Plan and optimize vessel allocation
- Secure tonnage, lead negotiations and execute contracts relating to the tonnage, both internal and external
- Follow up on vessel performance – relating to contractual and sustainability agreements Perform and support in Ad hoc analysis and projects initiated by Group Management

Qualifications:
- University degree within shipping related field or finance / economics
- Experience in the shipping industry in operational and commercial roles with decision making experience
- Experience in successfully leading commercial and operational projects
- Experience from financial calculations and investment decision making
- Strong command in English and MS Office (especially Excel and PPT)
