KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Optimise the level of sales and gross profit within the department ensuring the team and activities are fully aligned to KPI targets.
- Ensure highest level of customer service in line with service standards and CSS goals.
- Ensure full alignment to all company strategies and guidelines including company service standards and customer experience model.
- Take responsibility for the competence and skills development of the team and support with coaching and learning & development opportunities.
- Performance management of all OSS personnel within the team in order to strengthen cultural awareness and safeguard the right behaviors.
- Ensure regular 1-1 performance feedback.
- Annual appraisal dialogues – Service Assistants.
- Stock & cash control – ensure procedure and policies are adhered to at all times. Stock on hand values to be maintained within target levels. Minimise product wastage, shrinkage and manage fraud prevention.
- Assist when required in the efficient planning and rostering of all temp flexi staff.
- Ensure full compliance to all company policies, strategies and guidelines including company service standards and customer experience model.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company uniform policy, personal presentation and behaviour standards at all times.
- When appropriate manage stock ordering , receipt , system input and transfer process.
- Implementation and strict management of cleaning schedules.
- Trip management – ensure staff are prepared for expected pax volumes and profile eg. Booked groups, cabin and Stena plus reservations, number of freight drivers etc.
- Ensure all OSS related aspects of onboard maintenance and defect management are reported and managed appropriately.
- Ensure adherence to product merchandising plans - all locations.
- Lead, motivate and inspire team members ensuring highest level of communication on all relevant and current issues.
- Play a lead role where necessary and ensure all relevant aspects are in line with all ship board audit processes – Environmental and Port Hygiene audits, ISM audits, SOX audits etc.
- Health & safety – assist with risk assessment compilation and management when necessary.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company uniform policy and standards at all times.

Qualifications:
- Currently working on a Stena Line Vessel
- Hold a UK National Insurance number and UK bank account
- Strong English skills
