People Business Partner, Holyhead

The Irish Sea People team handles all People matters regarding our employees in the region, serving 12 vessels as well as our shore organization. We are a team who work closely together and share the responsibility to give our business the best support. We are looking for a new colleague to support our people both at sea and ashore.
What will you do?
As People Business Partner for the Irish Sea your main mission is to support and coach the managers in your business units so that they can fulfil their people management responsibility and become true Stena Line-leaders. With the strategic People plan in mind, you will drive, coach and advise on all people aspects such as organizational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives. You will therefore get to travel on a regular basis!
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Partner with operations teams to identify and address People related challenges and opportunities, ensuring a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Collaborate with operations leaders to understand business objectives and align People strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with the People team to ensure consistent and fair application of People policies and procedures.
- Advise and support managers on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans
- Participate in the development and delivery of training programs for operations teams.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational performance.
- Lead on wellbeing and inclusion interventions including welfare and mental wellbeing.

Who you are
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. We are looking for someone with a can-do mind-set that has a lot of drive and energy for improvements and change. You are able to deal with the typical issues when it comes to working with employees and are not afraid of challenging managers to think outside the box. You are motivated by strengthening managers through coaching them in their daily work and making them the best people managers possible. You have a passion for working with people and to see them grow, as well as working close to the operation. To deliver what you have promised is as important to you as being a friendly colleague.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent within People or similar area
- CIPD qualified
- Solid experience from working as a People Business Partner or similar People-role, preferable from a matrix organization with operational focus
- Experience handling People matters such as rehabilitation, disciplinary actions, negotiations with unions and people administration
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, and experienced user of MS Office
- Ability to travel on a regular basis
