What does AnoxKaldnes do? We are experts in biological water treatment and are a research-intensive company with headquarters in Lund. Here we are 35 colleagues from many different countries, who work together to develop and provide a process solution that is used in water purification in industries and municipalities. This means that we conduct trials in our lab in Lund, that we run pilot projects on site at our customers' sites and deliver full-scale facilities to customers all over the world. Veolia Water Technologies AB in Sweden consists of AnoxKaldnes and Hydrotech and has a total of approximately 110 employees. 

This is a great role for you who like to keep one foot in business and one foot in the technical solutions.You will be part of our sales team and have close cooperation with your colleagues in the team as well as the colleagues responsible for process design.

Your main task will be to  prepare proposals and other needed documentation for sales activities. The proposal engineer will work closely within the sales team to prepare budgetary and firm proposals and pricing for projects. You will also  be responsible for direct contact with sub suppliers to receive quotations and support for the proposals. 

As a proposal engineer you will be in direct contact with different stakeholders such as our delivery business units, Anoxkaldnes process team,  the companies business developers, purchase manager and the execution team.  

Responsibilities and job tasks:

• Prepare proposal according to process designs

• Work with sub-suppliers and internal contacts to receive quotations for pricing preparation 

• Prepares pricing for review and approval by others

• Prepare and organise additional documentation needed for proposals

• Direct contact with delivery business units 

• Supports the sales director with administrative tasks such as reference list maintenance, routine follow-ups, directory organisation & marketing activities. 

• Updates and improves commercial document templates 

• Participate in marketing activities such as exhibitions or customer events when requested
  

What is required to succeed in the role as proposal engineer?

We are looking for someone who has a drive and curiosity to develop together with us. With your engineering/technical background you have a great understanding and interest in technology, preferably wastewater treatment in combination with a great interest in sales.

You are an organised and administrative strong person who has an proactive mindset and finds it easy to search for information and to contact relevant people. To be successful in this position, we expect you to be goal-oriented and unprestigious.

In this role you will have a chance to develop both your technical and  your commercial skills while working within a very knowledgeable and supporting sales team!

This role requires:

• Degree level study in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Master of Science in Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Environmental Engineering or Chemistry or equivalent experience
  

• Written and Oral English, other languages encouraged 
  

• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely on technical matters, strong administrative side and a solid commitment to first class customer service and support
  

• Relevant industry experience (Water treatment or industrial sectors such as mining, power generation, municipal treatment, etc) is advantageous!
