So, what will I be doing?
Reporting to the Retail Sales Director, in this key leadership role you will be responsible for delivering the strategically important commercial launches and ongoing management of the Yeo Valley brand and any other owned brands into new product categories outside of Dairy across our retail customers. Working in conjunction with the marketing team, you will have overall commercial responsibility for planning, developing and implementing profitable retail customer strategies to support the deliverance of our vision of ‘Making great food the right way, forever’.
Key responsibilities:
- Create a clear retail sales strategy for each new category to deliver budgeted volumes, profitability and market share
- Ensure deliverance of targeted distribution points for all new products
- Build a strong network with key retail customers to create a broad range of touchpoints, especially in categories we may be looking to enter into
- Build strong and collaborative relationships internally with all key stakeholders at the appropriate levels
- Become an expert in sustainable food diets, working closely with the responsible business team to ensure we deliver our impact measures for all new product launches
- Create clear signposts for level of success of each launch and monitor performance. Addressing performance when not on plan to create the strategy to quickly turn around performance.
- Support the construction of a tailored training and development plan for the direct team
- Work closely with the relevant production site to ensure we can deliver future demand
- Communicate key messages to your team in a professional and timely manor
- Support the running of the operating model and ensure Sales Director is fully debriefed on all relevant topics.

- Track record of selling new products to retail customers
- Worked across multiple major multiple customers
