So, what will I be doing?
The Newton Abbot site is at the forefront of our strategy to develop Yeo Valley brand into dessert categories. The site plays a unique role in our operations providing dessert and ice cream capability. The site is in an expansive phase, developing new Customers and growing its outputs.
To ensure we are capable of exceeding our future needs in this key role, you will be responsible for leading and driving improvement in the effectiveness and success of our current maintenance programs, whilst identifying and implementing new maintenance programs that further enhance our site performance and support our future transition to a new PMS system.
This is a 12 month Fixed term Contract position.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and design a robust maintenance system that incorporates preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies supported by effective stock strategies.
- Develop and implement a plan for detailed maintenance that delivers an improvement to the overall equipment efficiency. Merging tasks across equipment to ensure minimal maintenance disruption to production.
- Integrate the maintenance system with the current PMS (PEMAC) and Prepare the PMS information for migration to the new IFS management system.
- Effectively monitor the engineering team’s maintenance service performance against our business KPIs, identifying and leading improvement plans. Develop suitable performance measurement tools.
- Support and coach the engineering team to deliver effective maintenance which will increase equipment performance whilst minimising downtime.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring system effectiveness
- Write detailed Job Information Cards (JIC) for all maintenance activities utilising a template to ensure continuity for all JIC’s.
- Review and develop risk assessments for all maintenance tasks. Ensuring that the RA and JIC’s work complementary to each other and are fit for purpose.

- Proven experience of leading Continuous Improvement of systems
Desirable:
- Background in FMCG
- Proven experience as a successful cultural change agent
