So, what will I be doing?
Wish to work in the catering field but have sociable hours? As a Canteen Operative at our Cannington site, you will be joining a team in a distinctive, ambitious and trusted manufacturing company that is committed to making great British dairy the right way. Forever. You will provide vital support in all areas of the kitchen, from food preparation to washing dishes. Working 32 hours per week (generally 7.00 – 15.30), on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with a degree of flexibility required.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Washing of utensils, dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
- Cash handling & Serving customers
- Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
- Preparation and cooking of food
- Disposal of rubbish
- Stock maintenance and rotation including accepting deliveries
- Cleaning and stocking vending machines daily
Sounds interesting, what do I need?
- An understanding the importance of health and hygiene
- Great team working skills
- An ability to listen and learn at speed
- Previous experience of working with food would be an advantage but training will be given
