Zalaris are looking for a SAP Technical Consultant (Developer) located in the United Kingdom to join our UK Professional Services - Technical Consulting team, working on projects and supporting live customers, so it is essential that you are comfortable with flexible work assignments based on business needs.
This UK role is home based and customer facing, so an openness to travel (subject to business needs and local safety restrictions) is required.
In Summary:
- You will develop, and implement high quality, reliable, cost-effective solutions to technical challenges faced by Zalaris’ customers.
- You will work closely with customers and colleagues to deliver solutions and services that fully meet customers’ needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation, testing, fixing, implementation, and support of solutions to provide enhancements to existing SAP system functionality, including integrations between systems.
- Responsible for the maintenance, and where possible, increase in personal skill levels through study, training, and certification activities.
- Responsible for working with colleagues across Zalaris to deliver a customer solution.
- Responsible for authoring and maintaining project documentation – e.g., technical references, solution templates, solution overview slide decks, unit test plans, training materials, cut-over checklists.
- Responsible for preparing and delivering information for delivered solutions via knowledge transfer and handover training sessions to both customers and Zalaris support colleagues.
- Responsible for completion of mandatory company processes to ensure business needs are met – e.g., timely completion of timesheets, attendance of team meetings, completion of company training programmes (e.g., data protection, IT security, health & safety).
Skills
- SAP Technical:
- Must-Have – ABAP.
- Nice to Have – Integration (CPI, PI). SuccessFactors, LSMW, Forms (PE51/SAP Script, and Adobe Forms), knowledge of HR (PA/OM)/PY, ESS/MSS (HR), CATS, FI/CO Integration, SAP Roles & Authorisations, ALE.
- Collaborative Working – able to demonstrate an ability to work across multiple parties as one team. This could include working with colleagues, customers, Zalaris partners, customer partners, vendors, etc. It may involve combinations of working face-to-face as well as through virtual channels with collaborators around the world.
- Proactive Assessment – an ability to identify potential issues, opportunities, solutions, and approaches that can then be raised through appropriate channels to be actioned.
- Communication – communicating complex, often technical, points in ways appropriate to audiences that may vary from non-technical to highly technical, and through various verbal and written methods. (English).
- Commercial Awareness – an awareness of commercial aspects and an ability to work to and within those – e.g., budgets, timelines, market gaps, ROI, brand reputation, commercial impact.
- Adaptable – able to adapt one’s own working style and practices and challenge oneself by stepping out of a comfort zone.
- Autonomous Working – able to work proactively, without constant supervision, to meet deadlines.
Education & experience
- We expect this role to be suitable for someone with 3-5 years of demonstrable SAP experience and certification in SAP technologies.
- You must be able to demonstrate your experience of the delivery of ABAP developments.
- You must be able to demonstrate communication skills commensurate with being able to communicate in a variety of ways with technical and non-technical audiences, at a variety of levels within an organisation – e.g., writing technical training materials for administrators using a solution through to presenting to senior managers in a workshop about the benefits delivered by the solution.
- You must have consulting experience in SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA).
- Experience with SAP Payroll (GB/IE) is advantageous.
- Experience integrating SAP products with non-SAP solutions is advantageous.
