The subject's research team Industrial AI & eMaintenance develops technologies, methodologies and tools based on emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies, for advanced analysis of complex technical systems.
The Division of Operation and Maintenance Engineering currently has about 40 employees, which in turn is part of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering (SBN) with about 430 employees. To strengthen research activities and teacher competence in industrial AI, eMaintenance and cybersecurity, we are now looking for a senior lecturer.
Subject description
Operation and Maintenance Engineering deals with the development of technologies to ensure high system dependability, effective maintenance processes, and life cycle management of engineering assets.
Duties
The work will include:
- Conduct research in Engineering Asset Management, Maintenance, Industrial AI, eMaintenance and Digital Twin
- Teaching, with a focus on Industrial Asset Management, Maintenance, Industrial AI, eMaintenance and Digital Twin
- Publication and dissemination of scientific material
- Implementation and participation in research projects on industrial AI, eMaintenance and digital twins
- Work in the eMaintenance LAB and on the AI Factory platform
- Arbete med International Industrial AI and eMaintenance Congress och workshop
- Support research activities in Asset Management, Industrial AI and eMaintenance
- Implementation and participation in research projects in Engineering Asset Management, Industrial AI, eMaintenance and Digital Twin
- Development and design of applications and end-to-end demonstrators
- Integration of technology into AI Factory's edge/fog/cloud platform
- Development of software AI Factory's various services
Qualifications
To meet the requirements for the appointment as a senior lecturer, the applicants:
- must have been awarded a doctoral degree or must have the corresponding academic competence[1] or other professional expertise that is valuable for the appointment;
- must demonstrate pedagogical expertise by means of proven experience, teaching expertise and teaching development[2];
- must have completed higher education pedagogy courses equivalent to 7.5 higher education credits or otherwise have acquired equivalent knowledge.

- Ability to teach in Swedish and/or English
- Doctor of Technology in Operation and Maintenance Engineering
- Experience of knowledge transfer between universities and industry.
- Experience in development in an integrated cloud and IoT environment.
- Experience in developing methods, technologies, tools aimed at asset management, operation and maintenance in industrial contexts.
