At Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) we’re now looking for a Data Transformation Officer to lead our efforts in managing data effectively by ensuring that it‘s well-organized, high-quality, and used strategically to drive business success.
About your job
In this position, you develop and enhance our data integration and analytics capabilities, ensuring the data’s business value is continually improved and maintained. You have the overall ownership and accountability for data usage, with responsibilities that can be divided into different data or business domains. You’re the bridge between business and IT, translating business strategies into development plans by focusing on delivering value out of data as well as driving innovation and value creation through effective data management and analytics practices. You ensure that our technology platforms are aligned with the strategic agenda of SMS – putting distinct focus towards growth, business flexibility and digitalization at scale.
You stand with one leg in the Enterprise Architecture team and the other in our Agile Data & Analytics delivery, building the bridge, managing the information architecture, and orchestrating the interactions between business and IT. Implementing and driving a governance stream for AI, Data & Automation is a priority, uniting our forces to deliver next generation digitized business capabilities.
The location for this position is either Stockholm or Sandviken, with travel to the other site once a week required. We’re also applying a hybrid work setup, allowing you to combine working from the office with working remotely.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, combined with proven experience in data management, analytics and business intelligence roles. You have a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes and hands on experience in information and data management, preferably within larger global organizations. A strong understanding of data governance principles, regulatory compliance and industry best practices are essential, along with proficiency in data integration tools, database technologies and analytics platforms. Working in a global setting, you’re also a skilled communicator in English, while knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
Your character is what really matters! With your strategic mindset, you have the ability to translate business requirements into actionable data strategies and initiatives. You have excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, enabling you to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals. You’re proactive and open to new ideas and concepts, and don’t hesitate to try them. Also, you enjoy acting in an ever-changing setting where pace and commitment varies.
